An artist from Joshua Tree, who did pastel drawings of our walkers when the walkers were camping there last night, has offered to create a Occupy Walk USA poster, for sale on the website, as a keepsake from the walk. I think it’s a wonderful idea, what do you think. Proceeds split for walkers and artist, living in Joshua Tree, single mom. Gimme me some feedback, what do you think?

Occupy the Capitol, Sacramento, California
Thousands of students, teachers, and workers from all over California protested at the state capitol, against the price of education. No matter what their purpose for being at the capitol, one thing was for sure; every one there stood in solidarity. At the end of the business day, 6pm, Hundreds of Occupiers were ordered to vacate the premises; 74 people were arrested inside the capitol for refusing to leave after being orderd to leave after the capitol building closed for the day.

This day comes only once every four years, and SoCal Occupiers shutdown the corporation warehouses; esp Walmart. On the flip-side, once again I get to witness police violence by Perris Police, Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept., and Manifee Sheriff’s Dept.
This is Deputy Benson from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dept., one of many officers who continually used their asp’s and baton’s to nudge peaceful protesters obeying the orders given by the authorities.

Much general tidying, turned the compost, dug a whole new big bed ready for some new deliciousness and several smaller ones for the herbs we planted, sipped meyer lemon water, moved a bunch of rocks, weeded & de-aphid-ed, enjoyed each other, the sun, and the dirt and even the stinky mushroom compost, ate some honey, some radishes, some peas, got a deep watering in, laughed, smiled, sweated, breathed and grew… By: Kelsey McCune
